Body Building Body building is a program of execises designed to modify the body's muscular development, or a competitive sport in which body-building execises, are used to develop virtually all skelatal muscles for aesthetic effect. Competition body builders seek to develop maximally all major muscles or muscle groups in such a way that muscle definition is pronounced and physical features are exaggerated. Although the main goal of competitive body builders is an aesthetic one-achieving a certain muscular appearance-body builders typically also achieve great strength and high degree of physical fitness. Programs vary in accordance with the physical demands of the sports. People who have been physically confined for long periods of time can be helped by low-intensity body-building, to help them regain their strength for daily life.
